The site provided an opportunity for a high quality contemporary infill development to provide a new distinct building within a presently non-descript urban setting. The new proposal sits comfortably on the site within a mix of building styles and character. It is not the intention to mimic or replicate the existing surrounding neo-Tudor style residential/retail buildings but to make a positive addition to the urban grain whilst utilising materials of brick, render and timber – present in the surrounding area.
