The building was comprehensively refurbished in 1991 to provide the headquaters for the Arts Council. The building is not listed but is situated in the Smith Square Conservation Area.
This proposal is to convert the internal of this building to quality residential apartments. The design embraces and retains the existing facade, roof where possible. The scheme retains the floors, frame and fabric largely intact but it completely redesigns the internal layout to allow for 29 apartments.
